Furniture Rescue • Olympia, WA

Have a piece you no longer want?

If it is solid, well-built, and worth saving, Broken Souls may accept it for studio rescue. This is not junk removal — it is selective furniture preservation.

Submit A Rescue Piece
Pieces Worth Saving

Some furniture should not end up on the curb.

Many older dressers, tables, desks, nightstands, and cabinets were built with better materials than modern fast furniture. If you need the space but do not want a good piece wasted, submit it for possible rescue.

Submission does not guarantee pickup or acceptance. We only consider pieces that match our restoration standards.

What We Look For

Good bones. Real material. Second-life potential.

Accepted Often

Solid Wood Pieces

Dressers, desks, vanities, tables, nightstands, cabinets, buffets, and well-built storage pieces with structure worth preserving.

Possibly Accepted

Repairable Damage

Scratches, worn finishes, outdated color, missing hardware, minor veneer issues, and pieces that need cosmetic repair.

Usually Declined

Disposable Furniture

Cheap particle board, water-swollen MDF, broken flat-pack furniture, severe structural failure, or items that cannot hold a lasting finish.

How To Submit

Send Details

Tell us the piece type, size, material if you know it, and whether pickup is needed.

03

We Review

If it fits the studio standard, we will discuss acceptance, pickup, or next steps.

Rescue Questions

Before you ask us to take it.

These answers help keep the rescue program focused on furniture with real second-life potential.

Do you pick up unwanted furniture in Olympia?

Sometimes. Pickup is selective and depends on the piece, location, schedule, access, and whether the furniture fits the Broken Souls restoration standard.

Can I donate a dresser, table, desk, or nightstand?

Yes, you can submit it for review. Solid wood dressers, tables, desks, nightstands, cabinets, buffets, and well-built storage pieces are the best fit.

Do you accept particle board or flat-pack furniture?

Usually no. The rescue program is focused on solid, well-built furniture that can hold a lasting finish and deserves a permanent second life.

Do you pay for furniture?

Most rescue submissions are reviewed as possible donation or pickup opportunities. If a piece has strong resale or restoration value, next steps can be discussed after photos are reviewed.

What photos should I send?

Send one full front photo, one side photo, close-ups of damage, a photo of the top surface, measurements, and any labels or maker marks if they are visible.
