We evaluate construction quality, custom painting or wood refinishing options, minor repair needs, and transport logistics from your photos—providing directional guidance rather than a binding quote.
When you live in Yelm or Southeast Thurston County, knowing whether a piece justifies professional restoration before moving it matters. We focus on solid wood and quality hardwood-veneered dressers, console tables, nightstand pairs, buffets, and desks that need thorough surface preparation, durable enamel painting, warm wood refinishing, or hardware restyling.
Cosmetic repair scope vs. structural exclusions: Alongside full refinishing or painting, we handle minor cosmetic and drawer repairs—rebuilding chipped corners or surface gouges with wood putty or two-part Bondo and tuning sticking wooden drawers. We do not perform major structural reconstruction, broken frame joinery, spindle turning, chair caning, or upholstery. Send a full front photo, a close-up of worn tops or chipped edges, and a photo of an open drawer joint or maker stamp. Our photo review is free and preliminary—not a binding quote—and gives you an honest read on whether the piece is a studio fit, which finish direction makes sense, and whether you prefer a scheduled Olympia studio drop-off or coordinated Yelm pickup and delivery.
Every project starts with a free, preliminary private photo review. Sending three or four clear photos lets us verify wood construction, assess surface wear or drawer issues, and discuss finish directions and cost factors before anyone loads or moves the furniture.
Pickup and delivery are coordinated from our Olympia studio after your photo review. Transport is priced transparently at $2.70 per transport mile (with a $45 local one-way minimum / $85 round-trip minimum), or Yelm clients can arrange a scheduled drop-off at our Olympia studio.
While we rebuild minor edge chips, surface gouges, and sticking drawers using wood putty or two-part Bondo during prep, we decline pieces with swollen particleboard cores, broken load-bearing legs or frames, missing turned spindles, or upholstery needs.
